Gazi Anadolu Lisesi is a state school situated in the Black Sea region. There are 804 students aged 14-18, 54 teachers. Basic high school weekly course schedule are applied as 40 hours a week. The education focuses on natural and social sciences, foreign languages. English and German are taught as foreign languages.The students select the subjects that they want to study at university when they are at 11th grade.Thus, students graduate with a better knowledge in their fields.In addition to increase academic achievement of our students,we give importance to extracurricular social activities.Our mission is to educate the students as individuals who are equipped in their fields, open-minded, aware of universal values ,learn by adopting rather than memorizing, can use information, express themselves freely and clearly, creative and optimistic towards the world.Some sport, science and social activities are organised to reach our desired objectives.There are volleyball, football and table tennis teams and an eTwinning and EU projects club. TÜBİTAK (a national science project centre ) have been carried out. Environmental education provides important opportunities for students to become engaged in real world issues that transcend classroom walls. They can see the relevance of their classroom studies to the complex environmental issues confronting our planet and they can acquire the skills they’ll need to be creative problem solvers and powerful advocates. That’s why we believe that participating in this international project based on climate will enable our students to internalize the importance of climate change and make beneficial lifestyle changes to protect the environment. Additionally, they will have the chance to cooperate with their peers from different countries, develop their foreign language, ICT competencies, enhance their selfconfident and contribute to the global issues positively. Nalan Aydın ,Nilgün Arıkan and Fikri Kerem Ekşi will be the key people in charge of running the project. In case they leave their post in the future, Cabir Arat and Ömer Öntürk will take over their roles.The key people have participated in national and international seminars and teaching training programmes based on management and implementation of school projects.They have carried out Erasmus , eTwinning projects and they are experienced at implementation and management. In addition, Nalan Aydın is an eTwinning projects evaluator in Turkey eTwinning Support Service. Fikri Kerem Ekşi is good at using webtools. Thus,his knowledge in terms of ICT will be crucial to prepare presentations and publish them in the project dissemination tools. Nilgün Arıkan,English teacher, has been carrying out Erasmus+ projects for about 10 years. We believe that we will contribute to the project efficiently through experienced and enthusiastic staff.
